The Banco Panamericano Building was designed by Sidônio Porto and Raimundo Nonato Rocha Diniz in 1968. The project, in Brutalist style, was originally conceived to house the headquarters of the Companhia Brasileira de Projetos e Obras (CBPO). In the 2000s, it became the headquarters of Banco Panamericano. After the bank’s bankruptcy and the subsequent abandonment of the building, it was later converted into a hotel.
