	mads.xsd"><authority><topic authority="https://vocabularios.eca.usp.br/vcaa/">Alberto Löfgren State Park</topic></authority> <note xml:lang="en">&lt;p&gt;Alberto Lofgren State Park is located in the northern zone of São Paulo, near the Serra da Cantareira. The São Paulo Botanical Garden was established there in 1896 to serve as the headquarters for the Forestry Institute. A 1909 decree designated the area as the Horto Florestal (Forest Garden), and in 1963, it was classified as a State Park. Finally, in 1993, the park was given its current name in honor of the Swedish naturalist Alberto Löfgren.&lt;/p&gt; </note></mads>
