Built between 1942 and 1944, the modernist complex comprises four buildings: the Igreja S\u00e3o Francisco de Assis, the Casa do Baile, the Iate T\u00eanis Clube, and the Museu de Arte da Pampulha, which was originally conceived as a casino. The project also featured the participation of the landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx, who was responsible for the landscape design of the complex. In 2016, the Pampulha Architectural Complex was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. "}]}
