The building was donated to the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP) in 1949, when it began to house the School of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (FAU-USP) until 1968. Currently, the building no longer functions as the school\u2019s main headquarters; however, following structural renovations, it now hosts graduate-level teaching activities and undergraduate elective courses, as well as research, cultural, and extension activities, in addition to consultation and research of non-circulating materials from the Graduate Library. The Vila Penteado was listed as a protected heritage site by the Council for the Defense of the Historical, Artistic, Archaeological, and Tourist Heritage of the State of S\u00e3o. "}]}
