Housed in an eighteenth-century, three-story building belonging to the Venerable Third Order of Carmel, the Museum of the Oratory was inaugurated in 1998. The museum features a museological plan by Pierre Catel and a collection of oratories and religious images dating from the seventeenth to the twentieth centuries, which tell the history of Minas Gerais and Brazil.
