Jaraguá State Park is located in the neighborhood of the same name, in the northern region of the city of São Paulo. The green area is mountainous and is home to the highest point in the city, Pico do Jaraguá. The park was created in 1961 by the state government. In 1994 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and it remains an important reserve of Atlantic Forest.
