Dom Pedro II Park is located in the central region of São Paulo. The valley floor area of ​​the Tamanduateí River was conceived as the Várzea do Carmo Park by the architect E. F. Cochet. In 1921, near its inauguration, it received the name Dom Pedro II Park. However, in subsequent decades it began to be altered due to the implementation of the Prestes Maia Avenues Plan in the city center, and ceased to be a significant green area.
