Anhanguera Park is located in the Perus neighborhood, in the northern part of the city of São Paulo. The area was part of a private property that was acquired by the municipal administration during the 1970s. At the time, there was reforestation vegetation there, predominantly with eucalyptus trees. To reverse the situation, it was necessary to plan for the recovery of the native vegetation of the region, species of the Atlantic Forest. The park was founded in the following years and remains one of the largest urban parks in the city.
