Santa Amélia Park is located in the Itaim Paulista neighborhood, in the far east of the city of São Paulo. The green area was part of the subdivision of the same name that was established there in the mid-20th century and initially received the status of a square. Although the creation of a public park had been requested by the population for years, the request was only fulfilled in the 1990s.
