Hipólito Fabre, Fernando Corona, Stephan Sobczack, and Theo Wiederspahn designed a commercial building to the Banco Nacional do Comércio in Porto Alegre in 1932. The building follows an eclectic architectural style with neoclassical elements. It was restored and adapted to become a cultural center, housing the Farol Santander. The building is listed as a national heritage site by IPHAE.
