The University of São Paulo's Law School was established in the building of the Convent of São Francisco, a construction dating back to the 17th century. The building underwent several changes and renovations, culminating in the neocolonial architectural complex that is now a listed as a historical heritage site of the State of São Paulo. The project was designed by architect Ricardo Severo and his firm, Escritório Técnico Ramos de Azevedo - Severo & Villares.
