A building of great interest to the architectural history of the city of São Paulo. Because it characterizes the region in which it is located, it is one of the city's first skyscrapers and a significant example of Art Deco. The building was designed by Elisiário da Cunha Bahiana and Cristiano Stockler das Neves, and completed by Dacio Aguiar de Moraes.
